I went back to school!!!!

So I went back to school on December 3rd!!! I always have a  bunch  of homework every night. I like all of my teachers but  my choir teacher is my  favorite!!! She is so nice and super sweet!! I went back to school a week before a concert and she worked and she worked so heard to make sure that   I was ready for the concert!!! All of my others teachers are cool but not as cool as my choir teacher. I like going to school much better than staying at home.

 So,  right now I'm getting tutored by a really nice lady.  I will go back to school the beginning of December.  I'm excited but nervous.  I get to go in to my new school the Monday after Thanksgiving!!!! I'm excited!!!!  My teachers names are Mr. Campbel , Mr. Gunderson, Mrs Poole, and Mrs. Toth.. Mr. Campbel is my resource teacher , he teaches me , spelling ,reading and math. Mr. Gunderson is my science teacher. Mrs. Poole is my social studies teacher and Mrs. Toth is my choir teacher.  I'm very excited to meet all of my teachers!!!!

Yet another surgry

I have to have surgery again because I cant bend. My Dr. thinks that it is the fiber tape that is stopping me from bending because of the knots he had to tie in the tape. I think the fiber tape is more like thread because you cant really tie real tape. The tape is holding my knee cap in place so we have to give my bones about  another six weeks to heal before my Dr. can remove the tape.I've bend trying to bend my knees by doing the total gym. The total gym is a board like thing that I  lay on and slide down and that bends my knees but I cant go very far because it starts to hurt. Then after we do the total gym we usually start walking. By then I am worn out!!!

My PT!!!!!

I started PT in  the hospital after surgery  but I did not start walking for six weeks after the surgery.  The hardest parts right now are walking and bending. I do it for  an hour a day two times a week. I get to do pool  therapy some times. the pool is super fun!!!!! My physical therapists are super nice.They like to help me figure things out. That is why they are so nice. I like pool therapy because it still works my legs but is easier.   

1 more Surgery

So we noticed that my knee was kind of sideways , so I went  to the doctor.  He said that one of the screws in my right knee fell down. So I have to have another surgrey. The doctor has to go back in and take the screw out and make sure that everything else is doing good. Then they will put a new screw in. Then they will be done.          Kamryn

Surery # 1!

Hi it is Kamryn!  I had my surgery on July 31st. I stayed in the hospital for 6 days. It was pretty easy when I was in the hospital!  I kept getting woken up, but it was OK because the nurses were making sure I was OK and safe.  After the 6 days we went home.   That's been going very well!  We have all learned a lot of things along the way.  Like stuff can be difficult but we can get it done. We have me, my Mom and my Grandma.  But between us we always get it done! If you have any questions just ask me by posting a comment. I hope you enjoy  learning about me and my journey.

And they're off!

So I went in on Monday and they put my casts on but then I had to get them cut about 2 inchs off  because they were rubbing on my ankles and it hurt. Then they started to hurt in a different way because they were sliding down, making my knees hurt.  So they are taking them off  today. Because they are taking them off today they have to do the osteotomies on my knees for sure. That will make my heal time longer but that is ok because that will make my knees feel better in the long run! I will keep you updated. Kamryn

Casts before surgery

Hi it is Kamryn again!  I had to get casts on before surgery. I went to the Doctor on Monday and they put them on. It took them about an hour.  Here is how they did it.  They slipped something on that was sock-like so the casts won't rub because it would give me blisters. Next they got a casting material wet and started wrapping it around my leg. After a while the casts hardened.  Then they asked me what color I wanted and I said, 'Blue and green stripes.' I will post pictures very soon!

How it all began

When my Mom was pregnant with me she fell and had me 7 weeks early. I had a brain bleed and a cyst on my brain and that is what caused my C.P.  I was in the NICU for 5 weeks.  I was on a ventilator to help me breathe because my lungs were not fully developed.
